It looks like the stock slope but with better color than just a plane kit. Theres also a bit of color on the cut off. Did you bend your sheild or washer mod it at all? It's just looks too different to be just a kit.

ahhhh you got me, couldnt trick you. this is completely stock just w/ the hid's conversion. i was just trying to trick some of the people here that could be easily convinced w/ just the camera doing tricks: overexposure and make them think the light's like, effin daylight.

its just i havent experienced a 6's retro's light spray in person, does anyone live in the so-cal region near san bernardino that has had a retro done? cuz i really wanna be convinced in person.

I know this might seem like a dumb question but I haven't been able to find the answer:

If the '06 6s have an HID option, can't we just buy the needed OEM parts and swap them out? Or would that be more expensive than buying aftermarket? Just seems like it wouldn't take as much work to try and get them to fit.

You guessed it. OEM HIDs are going to be extremely expensive compared to anything else.

okay...here's the deal i've been convinced ever since i stepped into my friends s2k, and he just recently got a evo 8 mr....HID'S/XENONS whatever you wanna call them are absolutely out of this world...the light output is at least 5 times better than our stock 6's headlights(which i might add by the way look good during the day...but are utterly useless when it comes to driving at night...)

I want to get the same exact ones that you have Mazda6s....the ECE projector HID's...what K are you running with those???...because that shot with inside the car is exactly what i'm looking for not so much concerned with the color like those of the 6000K McCoulough's kits or XTEC kits...i want the real deal and these ECE lenses seem to be the ones!!!! I want the exact same setup your running if thats okay with you....its been my dream to own a car with XENONS since they first came out...and of course i get my car and about 2 years later yup...they decide to finally put OEM ones in the six......those basturds...

for anyone that is thinking about this mod...its a no brainer just look at the diffrence from inside any vehicle that has a set of tru OEM HID's and you'll be blown away guaranteed.

Mazda6s....your my hero!!!1

LOL

Glad to be of service.

As far as the kit, I purchased the complete package from hidplanet.com. It includes everything but the harness which I purchased from xenondepot.com.

Here's a link to the HID ECE kit (and yes, they are ECE code and are 4100k color temp):

I got the exact same kit and it was the true ECE projectors.

They only sell 2 main HID projecotrs and the same projecotrs are what they put in there kit.

Here is a link to the projector description:
