thought, i would add, i just put mine on last night, and it works flawlessly. it was nice to not have to find some wire and rig something up. i just plugged it in and went on down the road. very easy to use....

So the dealership just updated my chip...guess they didn't realize the box was there, cuz it's positioned inside the undergirth of the dash. But I see what you're saying about needing this, in case the intake goes adios and the airbox enters the scene. I'm thinking about it...

I think what they are saying is, You don't want the box connected to the ecu when they go to flash the ecu because it will change how the box is set up...at least thats how I took it

no, the flash cannot change the box. what we are using this for is, when dealers are not too koser with aftermarket intakes, this allows you to take it off, and not have to rig up some jumper, you can just plug it into the harness and be good to go. i did it, and just left the box zip tied where its at, and if they question it, well its just part of my aftermarket alarm...

i have a question for everyone out there. i may get my cp-e intake powder coated black, so my question is, is it ok when i go back to the stock intake for a while, to leave the mafci like it is, or do i need to disable it?

Ok second question, Won't the dealer still be able to see tha tyou tampered with the ECU in some way if they look at it with or without the harness? Since there are about 6 scotchlocks on it

if you switch out the intake, you must take out the box, they are only used together.

as for them noticing it, mine is soldered in, and hardly noticable. if they pull the harness apart they would notice, but i doubt that would be happening.
