Is there a way to turn on all the overhead lights aside from the switches right on them without having to open the door? I was trying to see if I'd put something in the back seat the other night while I was driving and couldn't figure this out. The dimmer switch turned all the way up simply makes the stereo display brighter. I had no luck finding info on it in the owner's manual either. In most cars, turning the dimmer switch all the way up turns on the dome light. Thanks for any info!

Hm, phooey. That's kind of annoying. Oh well I guess. I just got used to driving vehicles that you could turn the dome light on with a switch that wasn't mounted to the light itself. Kinda hard to turn on the light in the back seat when you're sitting in the front

My firebird had it. Basically if you turn up the dimmer switch all the way up, there as another "Click" which turned all the cabin lights on. That way the passanger or whoever didnt have to turn the dome lights on separately while driving. Kind of a quick way to turn on all the lights in the car. I looked for this in the 6 without any luck as well. Its a fairly common feature, just not everyone knows they have it.

Uh, our Neon and Dakota both have this function As stated in this thread by RoX, you'd just turn up the dimmer switch till it clicks and the interior lights come on. It's handy and I'm starting to miss it And no, I'm not opening the door while driving down the road, but thanks

I hated having to reach in the back to turn the dome lights on also. If your somewhat familiar with electrical wiring, it can be done. I had my two backseat domes hooked up to my front passenger dome. When I need the back seat area lit, I just turn on the passenger light. Now I did this like a year ago so I don't remember what wire I wired together. Sorry can't remember to tell you how but just wanted to say that it could be done.

btw i tried it out, turning on the front map lights and looking back, you do get some light to see whether if something's there or not
