Today I installed a set of lower fogs. I ordered them at Chrome Style
. Including shipping to Holland, they cost 120,- euro’s (± 150 US-dollar). Not cheap maybe, but in Holland Madza fogs cost around 450,-euro’s (± 570, US dollar). That is incl. the installation by the dealer. The housing has a small grill and the lens is a (blue) sphere. The cable is nice and tight. The switch does’nt do annything for the car. It works!
The fit in the bumper of my sportbreak is quit nice.
Not as good as the grills that came out, but not as bad as some I have seen before. They tend to fall out of the bumper so i fixed them with 4 screwes each. I drilled holes first.
Then I used some black acry-kit to close the little gaps, and “see throughs”
Wireing is not a problem with the cable that came with the set. Af first you are afraid it is too short. After the job is done, there is plenty to spare. I find it strange that there is no manual or anything. I have installed fogs before, so i have some experiece. If this was the first time, I could run in some trouble, but not much.
Now the bumper is put back on the car, the fogs are pre-tested. The fogs light up realy bright. Looks stunning.
I choose the ”blue” ones, but I can recommend the “white” to everybody. You can imagine the white ones suite the car better when they are switched off. I did not finish the electrics yet, I still have to mount the switch in the dash. This will need some modification, to make it nice.
At this point, I can not tell you anything, about how they will hold up in time and weather. Neither can I tell you, how the beam’s are spreading.
To be continued
p.s. pardon my English
