I am getting HID's installed and here in Canada as you know we have those pesky DRL's....now I know how to disable them but what I want to do is re-route the DRL's capabilities to my integrated fogs.

I do not have a copy of the electrical for our car so I cannot try and trace exactly what I should do. if someone has done this, or recommendations on doing this...It would be greatly appreciated. If you have the electrical schematic, can you please forward it onto me.

I have read http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=24222

but that just changes the fogs to be independent from the headlights. I want to beable to have my fogs as my drl's and come on once I turn on my car.....

Help is appreciated from members on the board that might have a copy of the electrical diagram.

I have been told that changing the fogs to be independent from the low beams is one of the ways to make your fogs as DRL's. So as long as i have my fog switch turned on, once I turn on my car I will then have the fogs as DRL's.

If someone else has any other suggestions, I would be glad to hear them.

This is what I did. I followed the foglight mod but instead of attaching the wire to the parklight relay I attached it to the ignition relay. That way I can turn on the fogs when the vehicle is running.

In the fusebox the ignition relay is marked IGN. Pull it out. Test all four slots with your voltmeter and note down the results. Insert your key and turn to the ON position. Test all four slots again. The slot that indicates 12V+ ONLY when the key is ON is the slot you put the wire into.
