yeah I guess closing my eyes would work . But seriously I work late late hours, neighbors don't really like me, Homeowners ass. with nosy members who have way too much time on their hands! I get home at 3 - 4 am lock car, bright ass orange lights and a horn sound off and a dog in the background barks... you know the drill, real quiet neighborhood if you know what i mean. thats why, so* to answer the question, 1. to be low key and 2. to be considerate towards others.

Sorry to bring this to life again.

First off I can understand the horn being annoying at those times, but the light can't be that bad. So like it was stated before, just press the button once to not hear the horn. And as far as the lights, there is a way to dissable it. It involves cutting a wire by the alarm unit. I found the wire when I was installing my light bar awhile back but don't remember which one. I still don't know why you would want to. I think the horn is more annoying than the lights.

If you do dissable the light flash and don't press the button twice to avoid sounding the horn, you would need another way of confirming that the alarm did set. But I suppose you can just stand next to the car and listen to the doors lock.

If you really want to do this I could check out which wire it was again.

usually its Open the driver door. Click lock, then unlock then Lock again to enable or disable the beep/lights. I dont know if this works on the mazda stuff though as I havent every cared about the lights flashing.
