WEll i have a 2005 6 and there are three settings on the headlight knobs.. its either off or that little dot and then the fog light looking thing. had a question.. now it seems that my car doesnt have auto lighting for the night time.. meaning that it doesnt turn on automatically when driving in the night. and then the dot just turns on the headlights without the fogs.. and so on with the one with the fogs. my question is. is there a setting that i can use to have them automatically turn on.?? or do i ahve to set them on the fog or dot setting to always have them on? i know that if i ahve them on all the time then they will shut off about 30 seconds after i lock up the car. is there a better way to do this?? if not. will there be an issue if i always have my lights on..(besides life of lights.). im just confused as why this car doesnt have daytime running lights or something like automatic lights..

am i missing something??

Did you read the manual???? The car does not have automatic lights. So yes ... you will have to physically rotate the switch two full clicks to have your headlights turn on.
