A scanner would help diagnosis greatly...

Any CAN capable scanner.

Autoxray, Autoenguitity, etc etc.

Aka the power to pull your own cel codes, and do your own diagnosising.

Since the car has over 100+ cel codes, saying "I did this and got a cel" is completely worthless in terms of troubleshooting. You need the actual code the light is illuminating for. You need a scanner to pull that code.

Do you have an Autozone nearby? If so they have scanners and will read the codes for you and it is FREE!

Joebob,
No longer a Mazda 6 owner. Moved to a Volvo S40 t5R.

Make sure to "call" the autozone first, and make sure they have a model that can pull CAN codes.

"what does it mean when the top light is lit, and the bottom light is blinking?"

thanks.

Goodyear will read codes for free as well, if I'm not mistaken. As far as the blinking light, the ONLY one who can prob answer that question is the makers of the box: CP-E.
