ok dude, yeah.. it's like 10x easier to do this w/ the bumper removed and the headlights removed, from what i've heard atleast Im doing my install tomorrow morning so it should be pretty fun.

Also, you can just buy a good ol wire harness... it connects straight to the battery, has relays for the stock wireing to be used as the switch, and also has inline fuses..

As for the conversion vs. retrofit, its just as stated. Retrofit is where you literally replace the projectors with ones made for HID bulbs, therefor the cutoff of the beam is better, and you have less glare i guess. There is a while thread about that topic somewhere.

Do a search for removing the bumper or something, blackmagik actually made a how-to video on doing it. Just like 10 screws and a couple other clips and it comes right off.

yeahh i had my bodyshop guy do it, and he did it by taking off the bumper and removing the headlamp projectors, but he didnt think a wire harness was necessary so he told me to pick up a few relays after the fact and hes been working on it for 3 days now... WTF!

Quick question, does your wiring harness have two relays? Or does it enable both ballasts with just one relay.

One other question, if two relays are needed then I guess you need to send the brown wire signal to each relay.

Can you use just one brown wire signal to one relay and power both ballasts?

I used two relays one for each headlight. The brown wire from each headlight activates a relay. You could do this with one relay.
