the headlights for the 2005-6 are completely different than 2004. has anyone installed HID's in the 2005? :

Really? What's so different about them? That's the first I've heard of that difference. Can you post some pictures of the "new and improved" headlights?

Did the bulb change? Is there a single adapter to plug directly into the back of the bulb? This doesn't make economical sense for the 6 to have a new headlamp in its 3rd year into production.

Can't imagine that they changed them significantly enough to require different installation for HIDs.

This is the second topic relating to the electronics for the 2005 model. Maybe there are changes that no one has documented yet. Very perplexing.

the 2005 lo-beams are projector type with halogen bulbs; owners manual says that replacing a bad ha;ogen must be done by dealer service.

2003 and 2004 are the same. HID installation should be no different at all.

i got a 2005 , a month ago , checked the lights , and the bulb types , it's all the same as the ones before . H1's for low and high , and H3 for integrated fogss. don't see the diff.
