Hi,I'm a new member.
I was thinking about changing my light to HID,but i dont want those expensive ones with ignition,so i just want to get HID light bulb instead.
Here're the questions:
1.What type of HID light bulb do i need?
Is it H1 for low/high beam and H3 for the fog light?

2.How can I make sure that the light bulb works on the halogen system?Ask the dealer?

I'm a rookie,please help me!!!!!

Thanx a lot!!!!

all you have to do is just tell the customers that eveything is fine and whatever the problem is, it is suppose to be like that. (Does not apply to those hard workers who really care about their customers' cars)

You need a pair of H1 for the low beam. You need another pair of H1 for the high beam. And I believe you are correct about H3 for the fog lights (sorry I don't have them so I don't know for sure).

Make sure the light bulb that you buy is rated 55W. If you go with 100W, you can burn your wiring. There are many choices out there, so buy whatever you want as long as it's 55W.

Refer to this link for instruction. The instruction is actually for replacing the 194 bulb but they are all located in the same housing.

Clarification... it's H3 for the integrated fog light. It's different for the bumper fog light, no?

Edit: you're right, according to the following thread, the lower fogs use H1 bulbs:

You mean the "brake"?

The brake in M6 is pretty good in my opinion.
