I recently disabled my day running lights and while I was at it, I did a write-up with pics. The write-up is in PDF format and is about 0.75mb; too large to attach to this post. If anyone would like to take a look at it, PM me and I'll email it to you. Better yet, could anyone host it for me?

Seems weird that they supply the car with day running lights in a country where it isn`t law. You would have thought mazda would save the extra work involved wherever possible.

Personally, whenever I`m on a drive that isnt round local roads, I put on my sidelights anyway.

I'm in Canada, I think that it is required by law for new cars to have them.

Gotta disable them if you're putting in HIDs. HIDs as your day-running lights is not recommended; can damage the ballasts. A lot trouble for nothing, you American guys get to have an easier HID install then we do.

Sorry, I didn't notice your location. I thought that only the US model didn't have DRLs.

European cars have low beam Xenons and most people have them running on the day. You can have park, park + fogs or low beam only on the day but the Mazda6 doesn't have fogs... Our lights work very well...
