Auxiliary Lighting laws

I was wondering if I got a red license plate frame and wired it into my brake lights to come on when I brake would I probably get pulled over for "Auxiliary Lighting"?

I know with those dumb washer fluid lights you get pulled over, and with undercar neons, but was not sure if I could get away with the red in the back.

Replying to Topic 'Auxiliary Lighting laws'

Your best bet is to call a local body shop or gas station that performs inspections. They would know all the laws. I did the same when asking about tinting my windows (a huge no-no in NH). They saved me a few bucks by telling me what was street legal right up front.
