Both low-beam headlights died

I guess the headlights are only good for 25000 miles. I noticed that one of my low beam headlights was out last week, and just noticed today that the second one died. Weird. Any suggestions of something I should get to fill the void, now that I need to change both of them anyways...

Thanks.

lower the bumper, unbolt the headlights, and change the lights.

it should only take a half hour total

Also check the negative and grounding wires in the engine bay as mum had issues with lights that kept blowing early and it was due to the earthing not working correctly...

Learn from our mistakes... dont go for aftermarket bulbs... go for the HIDs, they may cost alot but you'll get a 3 year warranty for them and they'll be significantly brighter.

Search this forum for horror stories of SilverStars and you'll see that they only last a few months. I'm on PIAAs right now and so far so good but if i had to do it all over, i'd have switched to HIDs the first time.

I have to agree with others... HIDs or nothing. I'll never own another car w/out them.

how do you know the bulbs burned out. did you test them , and if it wasnt the bulbs and you pay a bunch of money on HID's and they dont work either , then its for sure it wasnt the bulbs. maybe you have an open somewhere in the current path, if its not an open then something was grounded, so check your fuses to see if any of them are inoperative and if you find a burned one then you must find the problem and fix it.

maybe if the bulbs did burn out so obruptly then maybe the circut is grounding but the bulbs are burning out before the fuse. who knows how much of a load the HID's are, if the fuses doesnt burn out then the wires are gonna catch on fire. but thats highly unlikely because fuses are rated to burn out anyways before the wires emit smoke.
