t-mo - if you want cars to actually be able to see the parking lights when they are driving towards you, get the wide angles. If you want your housing lit up (thought visible only at night) more and can sacrifice actually seeing the bulb itself, go inverted.

The 6 LEDs will fit anywhere the 4LEDs will fit. At least the ones from superbrightleds.com will. And they're only $3.00 to $3.50 depending on the color.

hey firstmazda, i looked at the pix, and something really bothers me, how can the inverted one looks brighter from far, but the 4LEDs one looks so dim from near? and the other way around for both?

Right, but only from superbrightleds.com. The ones from autlumination.com are actually bigger on the bulb side so they won't fit. Overall, I think SBL is better. They were crazy fast with the shipping (like 3 days) and some bulbs look better. I ordered a couple of bulbs they didn't have from autolumination (the same night) and didn't get them for like 2 weeks. :huh

t_mo... let's see if I can't take a shot at this... From afar, the inverted ones look brighter as a whole assembly. That is, since they shoot light out the sides, they light up the assembly better. Now, you can't really see the bulb itself at night - it's just a tiny speck (remember, the light shoots out the sides)... and if there's still any daylight, you aren't gonna see them unless you REALLY are looking.

The other leds, (my experience is with the wide angles) look brighter in a sense as an actual point of light. It's like the tiny speck is bright, but since the light shoots out the end, the assembly gets lit up a lot less. An extreme example would be like looking at a laser pointed at you versus looking at a flashlight pointed at you.

I'm guessing what you experience is a result of seeing the whole assembly from afar versus coming up close and looking at the bulb. ? ... maybe?

are all the 194 the same size? since one of them from superbrightleds.com says the measurements and just seems longer than the other wedge type 194s.

also what is the difference with non-polorized and polorized?

thanks

Does anyone have pics of the superbrightleds? Are the 4 LED lights from here bright enough to still read a map? Also, are the door lights also 194s?
