Installed XenonDepot Kit, Works Great!

I received and installed my XenonDepot H1 4100k kit yesterday...shipped out of Canada early Monday and I got it in Pittsburgh on Tuesday monring via DHL...I think the $20 is fair for this expedited service

Installation was fairly smooth, seating the bulbs and finding/routing to the ground were probably the most difficult steps...Also, I used the two-way tape to mount the ballasts under the headlights, resulting in a tight fit on the passenger side, I may relocate them later when I'm motivated.

After spending a half hour looking for two ground points, I decided to just run some 12 gauge wire from the passenger side ground-wire to the driver's side ground-wire(along the bumper), and then run that to the known ground point on the driver's side strut tower. Aside from that rig, the wiring looks hidden, tied down, and OEM. The xenons worked perfectly when I fired them up for the first time. The 'ballast-buzz' was like music to my ears. No ground problems either, although I may just connect the ground wire to the (-) battery post :).

I took it on a short 3 mile drive around midnight :P...there is so much white light in front of you and off to the sides. The light does not extend any further than halogin bulbs since they are in the low beam lenses, but your entire "low-beam area" is splashed completely with pure white light, the beam cutoff is now blatently defined...great functional mod!!!...this car should have come with HIDs...

First, lows always stay on with highs. Fogs shut off. Normal operation. Second, I am confused about your comments on the amber parking lights. As I understand it, the blinkers in the housing only come on when the turn signal stalk is in the proper position. I don't think you have any problems, if I understand your comments correctly.

I didn't know the Hi's and Low's come on at the same time...so that isn't a problem then.

The front amber bulbs in the headlight DO blink according to the turn signal position and for the hazard light button, those functions are still fine. No problem here.

I mean when you just twist the "headlight stalk knob" to its first position, the "parking lights on" position. The front amber bulbs in the headlight do not turn on now. I could have sworn that they always came on when you would twist the stalk knob...

I don't think they ever did that. The only lights that come on (stock) in the first position are the parking lamps (194s in the high beam part) and the side markers in the bumper cover.

Replying to Topic 'Installed XenonDepot Kit, Works Great!'

congratulations...what did the whole setup end up costing you anyways?... btw, did you say that both the hi and lo's came on at the same time... I guess I'm thinking about the fogs that get cutoff once the hi's are activated... hmm... anyone know how to convert the single H1 setup we have in the lo's and make them H4's so they be Hi/Lo ... that way you can have hi's on on the other part of the car too... what do you people think about that?
