To those with the XenonFactory HID...

Let me say this first...installation wasn't that bad, except for trying to get it clamped down. I swore I must've spend like 15 minutes each side just to try to clamp it down. Love the HID though. So much brighter!

Okok, question now... the relay has three metal rings, one right off of the fuse that is use the +, one for the ground (-), and the last one that is wrapped around the end of the big block of wires all joined together. For the last one, is that a ground or is that there so that you can mount it somewhere? I don't have that one grounded but the HID works.

Also, anyone had their lights go off when hitting a pretty hard bump? I was going about 95 or so on the highway when I went over a few nasty spots. My right light gave out. Not wanting to pull over and do anything with the car in the middle of no-where at 2:30 am i drove about 40 minutes to the nearest rest stop (yes, middle of no-where) with only my left HID light operating. I pulled into the stop. Turn my lights off, then right back on and then it's fine. Can anyone explain?? Could the jolt affected the operation of the ballast or the bulb?

On a side note, I was suprise that even with on HID light, it was still brighter than some other car's halogen lights or my old lights... very nice!

Dawei, that metal piece extending off the relay/switch is just there for mounting purposes. As far as the light going out... I had this happen to me and found out that one of my bolts I used to ground the kit wasn't 100% tight. Try that first because my lights did EXACTLY as you described until I tightened the bolt down.

Also if anyone else has problems closing the clamp, just use some needlenose pliers. Took 5 seconds. :D

Every single time I come across your post I ... :drool

Kyle, I checked and your right, one of my ground was loose. I thought I doubt check everything.

Dragon, yeah I did it for the second one, but not before I spend 15 minutes with my thumb and fingers.

Also, how do you guys lay out the extra wires? How did you guys route the right light to the battery? towards the windshield or the front of the car? Got pics to share?

Oh a side note....I had the right relay wire running across the front of the engine then up to the battery...when i checked the line, I saw it a bit chewed up. F-me! It was getting chewed up by the serpertine belt. Luckily it only chewed up part of the exterior insulation and not the wiring. Got some electrical tape to patch it right back up.

Oh yeah, he's a really bad boy. :P

I want to die in my sleep just like my grandfather did and not screaming and yelling like his front seat passenger.

I tucked the wires as best I could on the drivers side under the fuse box. On the passenger side I ran the wire up by the windshield.

I openned the front wire looming and thug everything in there. You don'T see anywire in my car. As for the extra wire, I cut everything before wiring it to the relay, pretty easy job. We can call this a home made relay I guess....

But what I like is seing no wire, no ballast, nothing. Looks OEM :)
