Silverstars Suck

I had one of my foglights go out last December so my friend from Kragen hooked it up with a pair of H3 Sylvania silverstars. So i get in my car to go to work today and turn on the lights and lo and behold, the passenger fog light had burnt out. Less than 3 months of life! and 60% of my driving is during the daytime. Has anyone else had this short of a lifespan with these bulbs? I'd be pretty pissed if I had paid for them but no biggie, I guess this time I should spring for a better quality bulb.Or invest in a HID kit.

Well if you used the search function you'd find out. I had 2 bulbs burn out within 2 months. Just buy an HID kit, its worth it.

I've had stock and silverstarts and now HIDs. Silverstars burned out after a few months. Complete waste of money.
Nothing compares to HIDs. Save your money and forget silverstars.

Yeah, the Sylvania's SS H series seem to have a short life span. The wife's Rodeo has 9004 SSS and she drives at night to work and back (60 mi) and they've lasted for about a year now. I think Osram SS H series probably lasts longer.
