Replacing Turn Signals on the 6s

How do you do it? I tried turning that black plastic clip that is connected to the turn signal, pulling out gently, pulling out firmly, wiggling, whatever, it doesn't want to come out. Is there some magic trick?

No real trick, just keep it straight. When standing at the front of the car and looking down on the lights (and facing the rear of the car) you will want to turn to the right. I just did this tonight for the first time but I can't remember if it was a quarter or half turn. Then pull straight out.

Since you haven't pulled this off yet, I will warn you that you should remember the orientation of the clip. The first one I did went off without a hitch. The second one, perhaps due to overconfidence, ended up causing me much heartache. I guess I didn't start to put it in with the correct orientation and I got it stuck really bad. It took about 20 minutes of working it around - all the while scared as hell I would either break the bulb or ruin the housing, before I got it out.

Good luck.

If you are talking about the front turn signals, I just did mine a few days ago. There really isn't a trick. Just turn counter clockwise till it unhooks from its mount and it'll pull right out with virtually no effort. However, I did one side with no problem, then when I went to the other side I turned the holder and tried to pull it out. Wouldn't budge. Tried yanking, wiggling and much cussing and nothing. Turns out that while it felt like I had turned the housing enough to unlatch it, I hadn't. So make sure you have twisted the housing as far as it will go, you might even feel a click as it frees itself. If you find yourself yanking on the housing to pull it out, it's because it's not unlatched yet. Hope this helps.

pisadong, your suggestion worked. I wasn't turning hard enough. If you ever come around NY, I'll buy you a few beers =)

No problem. I took me wiggling and yanking on one side for 10 minutes before I realized what I was doing wrong ;)
