Possessed Fan?

If anyone is experiencing any of the following symptoms...

1) Eratic fan rpm's. One second the radiator fan is quiet, then ultra loud, then quiet, then loud.

2) Radiator Fan On/off randomly. (While the car is sitting still)

3) Wierd fan behavior after the car is shutoff and the keys removed...

Your fan relay/sensors may have gone bad. Contact the dealer for a replacement radiator fan assembly. (Its under warranty).

The fans will turn on and off sporadically. This is normal for any car. The overtemperature sensor sends a message to the fan relay to activate.

Rowdy,

Thats not what I described.

On/off with constant and completely varying rpm's. Even does it with the car off.

Anyway, as I said, it was a defect/damaged fan assembly and it was replaced under warranty. I was just pointing out to everyone in case they had a similar problem.

Chikoo,

The fan rpm got so high on mine, that you could hear it multiple car lengths away. It got REALLY REALLY loud.
