Just installed my H1 PIAA Hyper White Bulbs :-)

I've tried reading up on some posts in this forum on how to intall the low beam bulbs on the 6 and I wasn't about to take off my bumper just to install two little bulbs ..

On the drivers side all I did was take off the cover for the fuse box and that gave me a 1/2 inch or more give-way to get my fingers in there to do the job. Next very simply took off the circular cap that covers the opening to the bulb. took off the positive and negative connectors off the bulb and then snaped up the clip that holds the bulb in place and pulled it out. Its as simple as that. Just go nice and slow so that you get a good grasp on the bulb so you dont drop it. Next just put the new bulb in (you have to make sure you put it in correctly or the clip wont close) and then close the clip put on the positive and negative the same way you took it off and close it all off with the circular cap and your done !

On to the passengers side !! this was easier .. once you remove 3 bolts that hold the engine coolant you can just move that right out of th way. this gives you a lot of room to work with to take the passengers side low beam out. Follow the same steps as above and then put the coolant container back - and your done.

Here are some pictures of the differences (passengers side - STOCK and drivers side PIAA)

Here's the stock bulb first

Here's the NEW PIAA Hyper White Bulb on the drivers side

Hope this helps and clears some things up! later

Are they 55W or 100W cause they look insane. If they are 100W, check your cable harness cause one day you will cry for sure...

I was able to change the bulb on the passenger side without removing anything. I remove the fuse box cover too. It's a good way to change the low beam lite without messing around the engine bay too much.

Those lights look awesome..... are they "white" of "blu-ish tint" when you look at them... cause i know the cops in NY are real sticklers about stuff like that..... how much did those cost you?

piece of cake?? you must have child-like hands. things were a b*tch for me to change and I have asian hands. I swear, I was so worried about dropping things left and right. Barely any room to maneuver, it was a frustrating experience. Took about 30 mins per bulb! Easy peasy my @$$.
