Replying to Topic 'Aftermarket Alarms'

I had one of those on my car before. They cost way too much money, The only good thing about them is the range. I would go with the Hornet 554T this is what I have on my car and I love it. I also recommend the 554R, pretty much the same thing.

I've found rpices for it to be around mid 200's to 300's, thats worth it to me for the extra measure of protection, but you're right, its the range that really makes it appealing. I want to be able to park at a mall and know if someone is in the parking lots by my car from the other side of it.

Just FYI, I never really got mine to reach 1 1/2 miles or whatever it claims. The most I got it was like six blocks, but maybe it was just my type of car. Also the remote is huge. But 200-300 is a pretty good price for those.

What about the Clifford RS3? It is pricey- up to $900 installed. But Clifford will pay your insurance deductable if your car is broken into with the RS3 installed. Peace of mind is expensive.
