back-up lights

I was thinking of replacing the white back-up lamps with a brighter lamp in the same factory fixture. The only spec I am missing to do this right is what the temperature tolerances are or how hot the regular lamp gets. thanks

Then "backup light'' should be for backup, hence it is spare :D

The reverse light is on for such a short amount of time that I don't think temperature would be a concern. By the time the light gets very hot, you'd be turning it off anyway.

Thanks Chris. I just didn't think about how long in normal usage the lamps would be on. Sorry for the confusion on terms outside the USA.
