Raising / Lowering power windows

Has anyone ever raised or lowered all four power windows at the same time?

I ask because the manual says not to as this may overload the circuit and blow a fuse. I recently did what I call a "batman" mod - when I arm my car, my front two windows shut if they were open. I can also remotely open (anywhere from a crack to fully) both front windows with my remote. It's cool as hell and I love it, but now I want all windows to seal when I arm, yet I'd rather not blow a fuse trying it. : /

Is this one of those overly cautious warnings?

I would follow the guidlines. If your car is completly stock than i think it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but if you have any electronical modifications i would be cautious. Or you could always go buy extra fuses!:)

It's an option with most aftermarket alarms. Somewhat expensive, right around $50 per window per direction is the average. I got two front windows, up and down, for $150.

I think I'll have my rears "close-only" with a 4 second delay. This will ensure that if all four of my windows were 100% open, only two power windows would be activated at once.

I have to say, this little add-on is very badass. Everywhere I go I try to have my windows open because having the windows roll up as I walk away and arm the alarm system is just .... SO damn cool.

Damn, I wish I had bought an aftermarket alarm then. I want my windows and sunroof to all auto-close when I arm my car. Pisses me off that they didn't by default...

Yeah, for the price my dealer quoted me for the stock alarm ($300) plus $50, I got a sweet viper / batmobile setup. :D
