Phillips Vision Plus

The phillips bulbs are much brighter than stock and the beam range is noticably extended. Signs light up much farther away. These bulbs draw stock wattage so its fine for the wiring. I ordered my bulbs from www.powerbulbs.com which threw in a pair of 12V 5watt blue visions which fit into the parking lights socket. I'm not sure if this was part of a deal or a fluke.

Oh, if you're looking for car accessories, check out www.boostdriven.com who is kind enough to host my images. I will take pictures of beam pattern if there is interest.

To take the parking light out on the driver side:
Pop the clamps off the air box, or just push it to the side (Helps to have two people). Then push down on the clip on the top of the cover for the head lights directly infront of the airbox. The Parking lights are on a rod that should pull right out. Puttin them back in is tough, you have align the rod to the hole, try shining a light through the back and look in from the front of the light to help line it up. On the passenger side you don't have to remove anything, just take off the cover and pull out the rod for the parking lights.

Thanks for that, YYY.

Did you put these in on a 6s or 6i? How hard is it to access the lights to do the swap? I've heard it's pretty difficult on the 6s.

Nice pics. Would love to see the beam pattern if you get a chance. Are these the best standard wattage bulbs you can get for whiteness/brightness?

What bulbs did you use for the low beam (H1, I assume); high beam, DRL and parking lights?

The clip is on top of the rectangular cover toward the center of the car, not off to the sides. This is a Mazda6s.
I used H1 Phillips Vision Plus for Lowbeams, stock for high, and Phillips bluevision for parking. I think Osram/Sylvania bulbs would be whiter, but I don't know if the would be brighter.

I just got the Vision Plus bulbs yesterday and they came with a pair of Osram All Weather H3 bulbs. I think they usually throw in a pair of bulbs as a gift. Hopefully the weather will be nice this weekend so I can install them and of course, take some pics.
