My buddy is ordering me a kit from CATZ next week. He owns an aftermarket parts store and I can thus get them for no markup.

My question is: Are these CATZ ZETA kits? They have kits that retail for 1300CAD but CATZ ZETA kits run about 650CAD retail.

What's the difference?

The Zeta kits are not real HID kits. They use an inverter to up the power of the halogen setup.

Glad you got a Catz HID kit, sorry you did not purchase through a vendor that supports this forum :(

Just a reminder about our charity program for $100 off a HID kit and a tax deduction all at once:

Thoguht that's what it did... I assume the bulb lifetime is significantly reduced as well? If so, by how much?

And... how many lumens are we talking about with the Zeta + Galaxy bulbs?

thanks as usual,

Not sure on the exact life of the bulbs... but anytime you are doing something like this, there iwll be a dramatic decrease in life. For a stock bulb, I have heard something like 200 hours.

Don't have a lumen rating, but there have been tests done where the output of the Zeta is actually less than a premium halogen bulb.

Heippo, I do not know how the Canadian system works. Please contact me and we will work something out.

Alright fine. I went with a true CATZ HID 4500K. Costs me nothing but some extra work. Normally would cost about 1300CAD. So you say this will give a blue tinge to it. I'm not looking for all blue just white with a hint of blue.

Alright. That's all I want. The nice clean white with a hint of blue is it.

Doesn't sound like the Zeta will do well at all...

FYI
The cool Color change when a bmw or an Audi Passes you on the highway is more of a result of the Projectors "bending" the light. 4500 degrees is my favorite for actual performance. Thats why the efect is not as colorful on acura TSX....
