HID

Does anyone know what color temperature output the Mazda6's original HID Xenon lamps have?

I would hope they have the 6000K and not only the 4100K, since you get much better light from the latter.

Anyway, to all of you who (like me) don't get HID in your package, it's real easy to buy them aftermarket (even though it won't be any cheaper than getting them factory mounted).

One (good) source for interested parties is:

http://www.autolamps-online.com/

They deliver worldwide. Haven't tried them out myself, but they look serious.

So I guess it's possible to get 'Dual-xenonlights' then.. just like more expensive cars (BMW 7, MB S etc.). And how about xenon-foglights?

Ps. if you had all these lights I mentioned, your car starts to look like an 'invasion in blue'.. :D

I don't know about the foglights, but I guess it should be possible. There are HID:s that fit in different casings.

I still wonder about that color temperature though. Anyone?

Steve, I checked the site you indicated. One question, do you have any idea what model of lamp does the M6 uses for low and high beam? What about the other bulb like turn signal, side markers, front and rear fog and etc?

Does anyone who has the car already know of this information? Could you post it here? I would like to do some advance shopping for HID lamp and such for the car.

Thanks

Great!

I forgot about that post. Man old age sure plays a trick to the noggin.

Thanks Steve for refreshing my memory.

I just got my aftermarket HID Xenon lights installed a couple of days ago. In Singapore, Mazda Motors here claims that it's not worthwhile bringing the cars in with Xenon already installed and most owners would go for 3rd party manufacturers so they don't even have them as after-sales items (accessories).

I'm not sure but I read in another thread about auto-leveling? S'pore Mazda 6s come with electrical headlight beam height adjustments which allow the driver to adjust the headlight height from inside the car. Is that considered auto-levelling?
