Hopefully I'll see you around if you are in fact in the 916 area. Hmu
haha. You may actually have to talk to "Matt" at TRS(Founder/Owner of TRS), the other guys probably don't know me.

David and Wesley at Imperial Works know me though.

Ehh. I live up in Seattle now... Got tired of the CHP hassling me for driving modded cars. But if I'm in the area, I try to go out to some weekly meets. Check out hard_park (my other friend) on instagram for meet locations.

Hello.

I currently have a 16 mazda6 GS model. I had hids before on my 06 model andni remember something about having to make an opening on the housing so that the bulb can fit properly. Would I have to do this with the 16 6? I hear lots of plug and play and just wondering if I actually have drill the cap open or something

Sorry if it sounds confusing

I just purchased and installed the Innovited AC 55W HID Xenon Conversion Kit With "Slim" ballast form Amazon. I decided to go with the 6000K bulbs. Passenger side installation was simple. For the drivers side, I ended up going through the wheel well.

The light output and clarity is amazing! I previously had Sylvania SilverStar Ultra halogen bulbs installed. This HID kit cost about the same and blows the halogen bulbs away.

I was super excited when I started reading this post but there seems to be no consensus on the cheapest HIDs that one could expect to work reasonably for at least a year. I don't want to waste $70 to find out that the bulb burnt out or there's a mix and match of colors. But I'm also not sure that $200 is worth the upgrade.

200 bucks is well worth it. You get what you pay for with these systems, and cheap is cheap no matter how you cut it. Remember how much you are relying on these to work, all the time.
