How were you giving up that time?

It looked like after you went under the bridge, you backed off to ~1/3 pedal and hovered around 90 mph indicated through the esses. Then on the last rise you were on it again. The instructor was trying to get you into the gas about 1/2 way up.

I should have been full throttle all the way to the end of the bridge straight; then tap the brakes before T7; maintenance throttle thru T8a and into T8b; then full throttle out of T8b to the entry of T10.

Instead, I was basically maintenance throttle at 90-95mph from the middle of the bridge straight all the way to the entry of T9. It's a challenging (read scary) section that gets the car light between T8a and T8b. Ask this guy:

You have a good point! That guy was possesed by the car ahead of him, and was catching up with him in the esses ... until he got light after that rise on T8. After the hit, he showed a lot of concern for the health of his passenger ... not.

I did the same thing at summit. It was free practice for scca GT-1 cars, and Lyn St James was getting privated lessons in a Formula Ford from a Ford Race Team. I was following her for a lap, and then she turned it up going into turn 5, and I was pacing myself off her speed. As she had race tires vs my 175-70 street tires, I went for a spin then backward into the woods, not to be seen from the track. No significant damage.

Found another vid with BMW owners .... in this case at least one knows how to drive an M3.

Looks like he made an effort not to be turning during part of each corner. If speedometer is correct, he hit 120 mph just after the overpass ( lap 7, 0:50 ) and maintained it for the next L, R, L, R, and back down to 90 on the next left (turn 10?). He hit every bump strip at each corner apex, trying to go straight through the esses.
