I do like the GoPro, but I also like the telemetry that my setup provides - albeit rudimentary. There are lots of display options with the map and g-force meter. It will display the map in green where you are accelerating and in red where you are braking - very cool. The video telemetry is fairly crude, but you can output the raw data to a spreadsheet and really compare each lap or run side-by-side.

Here's a pic of the setup: iPhone 4s with a wide angle lens attachment running the app while shooting video.

For AutoX, I normally swing the mirror up out of the way, but I forgot. Ooops.

I can definitely understand how that telemetry is worth it for you. In reality all the GoPro buys you is when other people watch it they go ooo... pretty.....

Does the app have a limited range for the track? Because that would be really cool to have for something like the Dragon's Tail.

As long as you have a GPS signal and cell coverage, it works. I've riden the dragon many times on my Cagiva - absolutely a hoot, but I don't think the cell coverage is very good there.

Suspension details:
Eibach Pro-kit Springs all around
Bilstein Shocks all around
Poly bushings in all front upper &lower control arms
Poly swaybar bushings
Eccentric bushings in front upper A-arms (for more front camber)
Adjustable upper ball joints (for even more front camber)
28.5mm front swaybar with adjustable endlinks
27mm adjustable rear swaybar with solid endlinks
Solid aluminum body mount bushings in front sub-frame
Rear lower control arm mounts modified to provide more rear camber

I like it so far, but I only have one AutoX on it - prior to this it was completely stock. I'm still getting comfortable with the car - it's a lot twitchier at the limit. The stock suspension would ease up to the limit and give you plenty of warning before letting go. Only minor steering or pedal inputs were required to correct the car. The new combo of stiffer springs and sways coupled with R-comp tires, push the grip limit much further, but when you cross it, it lets go abruptly with much less warning. I have found my self turning the wheels to full lock a couple times to correct oversteer. Makes for a fun ride!

Loaded up and headed to Piedmont Dragway in the morning - no, not 1/4 mile stuff - autocross! The shakedown continues . . . Last one before VIR!

This is a rough approximation of the course layout. Looks like we'll be using most of the parking lot and service road.

Should be fun!
