OVT Tuning - Regrettable Change of Focus, Direction

Folks, some of you may not be aware of this... See graphic.

I have to wonder who else, out there, knows the SkyActiv-G 2.5 engines enough to tune them? It seems to me that a lot of folks are pretty happy with what OVT has done, in a positive sense, to the response / bottom-end performance of your 2.5 SkyActiv's.

I have a post regarding the shift of OVT to Toyota. I think it was late November.

DRTuned.

Website: https://www.drtuned.com/

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drtunedracing/

Apparently the owner of DRTuned, Daniel, learned from the owner of OVT, Mat, and then went on to create his own tuning company.

Yeah, this was posted a while back. Helped get me off my kiester and buy the dang tune the last day they offered it for Mazdas on Dec. 19.

After a little bit of initial software difficulties I'm well into the tuning process. So far I'm on tune #3 and the difference in motor response is already quite noticeable - still getting it dialed in, but I can tell this motor has quite a bit of untapped potential.

Anyway, before I went with OV I looked into DR Tuned. The guy seemed fairly responsive on FB and the process appears to be very similar to OV. I ultimately went with OV since they have well documented experiences tuning the 6 on this forum and they will support existing Mazda customers. The DR guy seems to have worked with the 3 SkyActiv more and is relatively new to the 6. Regardless, it's the same motor so I would imagine he's got proper experience.

I checked the site posted by @sav and I wasn't able to see any related tuning for the 6. Perhaps I didn't read thoroughly.

You can select the 6 from the drop down menu: https://www.drtuned.com/products/sky...tom-tuning-kit

Again, they use the same Tactrix interface and MazdaEdit software as Orange Virus so the process should be pretty much identical.
