2018 turbo - front brake rotors size

Are they still only 297 mm?

The European diesel models now (finally) get 320 mm, petrol engined cars still have 297 mm (2.0 and 2.5 NA)

Found it... 11,7 inches equals 297 mm.

Still interesting, that in Europe a 150 HP diesel, so a 100 HP less powerful engine gets bigger brakes, same size like a cx-9 turbo (not available here).

A swap to bigger rotors and other calipers seems like a no-brainer. Not that smaller brakes would not work just fine, it is more of an optical aspect, when one has 19+ sized wheels.

I'd guess the diesel models would have bigger brakes due to the greater weight of the diesel engine up front. More mass needs more stopping power.

Either way, I'd go bigger if I wanted to upgrade them, for sure.

Probably, but the weight difference is only about 130 lbs (2.5 NA AT vs. diesel fwd), when comparing 2.5 turbo to diesel, surely even less than a 100.

Pretty sure I will be upgrading when the time comes. 🙂
