Pics of my plasti-dipped winter wheels on the 6

I just put the plasti-dipped winter wheels on the 6 for the first time. I coated the factory wheels black with glossifier in April. I'm interested to see how the finish holds up to the salt spray and cinders the DOT throws down on the roads. The IG20's have 2 winters on them already, so they are dirty looking even when clean.

Very nice. I hope I can find time this holiday break to do mine. I'm going to try the silver metalizer. How long did it take and how many cans?

I have only dipped whole cars, but, I think it’s 1 can for “base” colors per rim.

Not sure how many cans of gloss. You would need.

I wish Mazda still made the 6 in the blue your car has. So much nicer than the two blues they have now.

I used 1 can of black per wheel over about 6 hours. I shot multiple coats following the can’s instructions. The next day I used 3 cans of glossifier over 4 wheels in the same amount of time. They were dry the next morning when I checked them. You could probably do it faster, but I had them off the car for the spring-fall so I was not in a hurry.

I have a 2015. The car was actually liquid wrapped in Raail. Custom mixed matte blue with gloss black roof, mirrors.

I have pics somewhere on this site lol. Its back to white/black roof/mirrors now but considering a midnight purple this year.

Oh, well, then I guess they just offered that color, cause it looks good :-) Also, I had never heard of that product, so I learned something. What is the cost to do that to a 6?
