Just for future searches, I FOUND IT!
Circled in red there is a plastic dipstick that is held in place by a 10MM bolt. Unscrew the bolt and pull up on the plastic block and there is a dipstick attached. Now I have to drop the plastic flap under the engine and find the drain plug.
Mazda was NO help on any of this. They all act like there isn't a dipstick and there is no way to change the fluid. I'm not sure if this is a ploy on their part to make me take it to a dealership, or if you just have a completely incompetant company from top to bottom. Either way, I intend to drain the tranny, and then I will measure what I drained and put the exact same amount back in through the dipstick hole.
