2006 wagon manual trans problem

I was driving down the highway and my car jumped out of 5th gear. I can keep it in gear if I do not give it too much throttle. Anyone else have an “inexpensive” fix for this?

I haven't research this on the 6 in particular, but in other vehicles I've had an issue like this has had bad engine mounts. I've read the lower subframe mount on the 6 has a tendency to go bad, which would control/limit the engine from torquing. If it was bad enough it could allow too much movement of the engine and potentially pulling it out of gear. Something you might want to look into before replacing the trans for pop-out/worn fork.

I am with @hurddawg on this one.
Replace all 3 motor mounts. They are all likely worn, by putting only one new mount in, the movement from the other two worn mounts will prematurely destroy the single new mount.
Its not as hard as you may think.
Good luck.
