@98se5speed asked me to post this up on his behalf as he was having issues with getting it up on here from his phone. This is the picture of his home spun oil diverter shield which greatly reduced the oil burning from the front cover leak.

Thanks for posting the picture! I may have to give that a try if the smell continues. After driving it for about a week now, it seems like the smell has gone down some. I've also tried to keep the HVAC on recirculate more, but that won't always be practical given cold winters with snow and the high demand for the defroster. Recirculate is disabled when using the defroster.
