$600 to $1000 for a spray paint? That is expensive for me. In our place, that is almost equivalent to a whole body paint.

I'd like to add that if the cost will be about $800 getting it fixed in a shop, I will consider claiming it from insurance. I don't have to bother myself looking for parts and have it repainted. I pay and leave the car then return to drive it home. However, someone said that making a claim increases your premium or something in the US.

Hey! Thank you! Yeah my deductible is 850 so I may get a check for 70 dollars Iím not sure. Insurance sent me a form I need to fill out

San Antonio is horrific with amount of debris on roads. I've had to get my 2018 6 checked out by dealer 3 times in the 4 months since I've had it. I'm starting to get better at recognizing and avoiding debris, but it's pretty bad. I'd hate to actually have to use the shoulder with all the large crap that get thrown there.

2 out of the 3 times, it damaged the panels underneath the car. Tires, tire treads, wood, branches, flying debris, you name it. Thankfully it's all been cosmetic damage though. One time while driving along I-35, this flying piece of debris left a gash in my front bumper. Thankfully it was a quick fix by one of the mobile bumper repair vans.

It's pretty incredible what those mobile bumper repair guys can do. I've tried to look for the gash from every angle and can't see any sign of repair. The color was matched perfectly.
