Yeah, but the front tires already cry for mercy at times (and I have arguably gripper tires). Not sure how the tune will put more horsepower and torque to the wheels and ground. The car is plenty fast as is, where I'm constantly worried about triple digit speeds. The programming across the tranny and traction/stability control had to have taken Mazda a while to get right. I would expect the tune to have to address that balance.

That said, I'm also curious as to what OVT comes up with. Maybe a broader power range with an extended redline to 6500.

the problem i have been having is she gets realllly hot in triple digit speeds here in vegas an computer takes over limiting output,same thing with throttle for some reason it is not letting it hit 100 wot the power will come in 2500-5k

I guess this is the inherent problem with the Skyactiv motors, since Mazda designed them to run hotter to prevent carbon buildup on the valves. Also, it probably doesn't help that you're in Vegas and you guys average 120° weather during the summer months. Have you had this problem when driving in lower temps, like under 85°?

have not had a chance to try it out yet havnt been under 85° since i bought the car lol next month i will find out once it cools down more

Ya know, ever since I lowered the car, I noticed that the tires are much more difficult to spin off the line. Possibly because the geometry change and the fact that the springs are stiffer resulting in the tires remaining more planted when accelerating from a standstill. But it definitely only chirps the tires when the transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd now, and these are on the stock Falkens. So I think a power bump would still benefit the car with overall acceleration times. Also, the main complaint I have with the stock tune and throttle calibration is it feels so sluggish right when you hit the gas pedal. The only other cars that felt this way on throttle tip-in were the hybrids I've driven. Contrast that with driving my Q50 or even the Honda Accord/Civic, the response is immediate, right when you hit the gas. That's what I would really like to see out of this tune, immediate throttle response on top of any power gains.
