1st gen exterior door handles?

I have few of the exterior door handles that are no longer popping back in when I let go. I am planning to buy a full set and then have them sprayed out so that I can replace them as needed. I bought a full set of Dorman's on Rock Auto, but the passenger front came with a key hole which I don't have on my 04 6s wagon. Can anyone confirm that the rear on the passenger side will work just fine in the front position? I'm having trouble tracking down a suitable replacement for that position.

It looks like there is a small difference between them, when I look at the ones for 07 the passenger one does not have a key hole further investigation shows that the part number should be the same for your wagon. Are you positive they didnít send you two driver side ones? The photo shows that it should not have the keyhole and the info also says itís not supposed to

I'm curious about why you've decided to replace them. Can't them be cleaned and lubed to work again?

If they are like mine the plastic spring holder spreads and will no longer retain the spring in place.

Thanks everyone for the help. As @DrFeelGood says, they are losing the ability to pop back closed. Thus, it hangs open and looks cheap. I'm having some other parts sprayed and thus figured I would spray up a set of door handles and replace them as they fail. Right now, the drivers front and passenger's rear are the issue.

Here is how i know i have the right front...

In the picture, there is a shot of the back side of the handle and it is stamped with RF despite having the key hole in it. It is slightly possible that some version of an 04 6 does have a key hole on the RF door but mine does not. Interestingly, the photos of the part on rock auto show it without the key hole.

That is odd, I guess it is possible but if you canít use it in my experience since the description and pic say that itís not supposed to have the hole they should return it with no problem I had this problem when I ordered my water pump they sent me the gates pump by itself the box had the exact same part number on it as the one with the complete housing
