so I gave my car to the body shop on Monday for repairs from my "DEER ATTACK"
It's only Wednesday and I can't stand driving this Camry it's black, it's an 07 with only 3000 miles on the clicker and it handles like a washing machine and stops like...well it doesn't stop very well at all This thread is basically my way of saying what a great car the speed 6 truly is How you don't appreciate what you drive until you don't have it, etc. If I had to drive this Camry every day, my next trip would be off a cliff with it....Yikes But it does really suck big time I bought the speed 6 as a compromise car knowing that I was driving a GTO before hand but honestly wasn't a good all year round car with having two small boys to put in the back seats. I've grown to love my car and miss it alot now.... Hopefully I'll have it back next week to start my FMIC project.....(keeping fingers crossed) The other funny thing is my wife drove the Camry around the block just to see what it's like and she said "what a piece of crap"

I know what you mean, absence does make the heart grow fonder. The dealership gave me a baby blue '06 Camry for the weekend while they replaced my front axle seal. The next go around (replaced transfer case) was a bit better. They gave me an Mustang for nearly a week. There's nothing to be said about the Camry but the Mustang wasn't bad. Having driven FWD my whole life, now I understand why people like RWD. But it totally lacked the smoothness/fit/finish of the MS6 and afterwards, the vibrations from the SU motor mount didn't bother me half as much. All I can say that after a year, this car still puts a smile on my face at the most unexpected times.

Huh im actually kinda surprised the camry was supposed to be pretty decent. I think its a good idea to drive around a pos car for a weekend every once in a while to make you appreciate your car

Yeah the Camry is nice and all, if you absolutely loathe driving.

Yup...just went through this a couple of weeks ago when my MS6 was in the body shop.
...but I had it worse... my loaner was an 02 Dodge Neon w/ 75,000 miles on the clock. Man, I took the MS6 for granted.

Why is everyone ignoring the fact that one is a performance sedan and one is not? How can you compare the two with any validity?
The Camry is a decent enough car for what it is - it is a front wheel drive sedan not aimed at performance market. |

It didn't happen to be the "sport" package Camry, did it? I actually test drove one, and it was okay. It was a definite improvement from earlier years. Imagine if you had to drive a 2000 Camry ... esssh. But bfischer is right ... it's like comparing Jessica Simpson to Judy Dench (maybe not that bad, but you get the picture).
EDIT: OK, more like ... Alyssa Milano to the grown up version of the chubby girl from "Full House"

My car's in the bodyshop too for my bumper damage....
Got a 2008 hyundai sonata (from enterprise, paid by insurance..had a choice of a pt cruiser, the sonata or a dodge stratus) Different class of cars definately, but i so miss my speed6 now... I have to say the Hyundai isn't as bad as years ago...built pretty well for its class.... The only thing i like overall is the XM Radio...but the speakers saks big time... but damn..nothing beats a neon like IHeartGroceries had..ehhe
