I used to own a 2004 6S ATX fully loaded. I traded her in a while ago but am considering getting another one. I searched but couldnt find an exact answer. Besides the ATX going to a 6 speed in 05, is there any other changes? I have been reading about the 6 speed ATX and it seems like a lot of people are having problems with it. Is it worth the hassle or should I just look for a 2004 again? I know not everybody has had problems with it, it just seems like there are a decent amount of posts about it screwing up. Any other help/info would be great.

I don't think their are as many problems with the 6 speed A/W ATX as their were for the 5 speed JATCO, doing a search through the transmission forum reveals a lot more topics with 5-spd issues than the 6-spd does. I actually find my 6-spd quite smooth compared to the 4spd and some 5spds I have driven in. It is even smoother when you add a CP-E engine mount, if you don't mind sacrificing a little cabin noise and vibration. As for differences between the 04 to 05, nothing major other than the transmission. The biggest change took place in '06, thus some of the mods won't work for the '06/'07 models yet (I am trying to fix that, being an '07 owner). I hope this helps.
