Not sure if this was posted before, but for 2007 edmunds picked the mazda6, speed6 as there pick for best sedan under 25k

The actual award went to the normal 6.

With all the crap that the MS6 goes through.....It is not making that list. This car has too many issues...

There really arent many problems with the speed 6. Other then a powerloss issue which was fixed there really hasnt been any problems. I didnt even experiance the power loss.

my speed has not had one problem, i have owned it for 8 months. no powerloss no cels

Based on a lot of stuff I've read, I would think that the Speed6 is having "new model" issues like all other "new" cars.

But I don't have a Speed6 - I have the GOOD 6.

Anyway, I'm glad Mazda and the 6 [all 6's] are getting good press.
These are good cars coming from a good company - And without the PR hype that some other makes get.

Good find, especially since I wouldn't be looking for it. I say that b/c the 6 has been out for awhile and even in its early years, it did not make the list. The Passat did, however. Now the Passat has been redesigned but is no where in sight. The redesigned Altima didn't crack the list with anything better than an honorable mention. The slightly re-done Mazda 6 has found its way to the list of most wanted by Edmund's after being on the market for 5 MY - it speaks volumes about the goodness of the 6.

The 2006 ms6 is doing pretty damn good for a first year car imo. Especially for a car in that class

the mazdaspeed6 SHOULD do good for a first year run car. much of the car has been around since 2002. I would hope most if not all bugs have been worked out (with the exception of the all wheel drive and engine) Question,,, is the all wheel drive in the speed6 the same that has been an option overseas from early on? Is the 6-speed tranny the same as those offered over seas as well?
