Ok. So if I wanted a more aggressive stance, what would be better? Spacers or just a more negative offset.

Well, that depends on how much money you are willing to spend...spacers~$50 new wheels~$500+. You can't just change the offset on regular wheels (that aren't 2 or three piece multi thousand dollar wheels from BBS or another well known big wheel company).

yes you can change the offset of a regular wheel. it involves cutting the center of the wheel out, and having it welded either into a new barrel, or into the stock barrel. the service is however very costly. you can also have a wheel "widen" by having additional metal added to the lip of the stock wheel. For a "stanced" look, what exactly are you working with, and what are your goals. What are your budget? to be honest with you, based on your previous questions it sounds like you need to do more reading and learn wtf you are getting into before you even start or you will be pissing away money and be very unhappy with the end results. |

I wasn't asking how to get offset. I asked what it was. Simple. First post answered it. Yes I could've googled it. And at this point google would've been a little less crass about it.
I know what I want, to push the wheels out a little bit. Closer to flush with the body. According to Wikipedia, which was the first link on my search. It's better to keep the factory offset. Which currently on my factory rims is +45. Also the same on the rims I'd like to put on. Now I'd assume that someone else on here has wanted to do, or has done the same thing. And I asked which was the better route. Budget aside. And the next time I ask a question and want attitude, I'll ask for it. It may look something like this "What is offset, and what does it do. With attitude please". Now that I've looked into it. It's easier and less expensive to add spacers. Thank you for your posts. Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com Free App |
