Here are the specs:
Mazda 6s 2006 GT
Enkei RSV 18" x 7.5'' +48mm offset
General Exclaim UHP 225/40/18

How come only the driver side is rubbing? Has anyone had this issue with only one side rubbing? I had same size Nitto Neo Gens before, but $$$ was an issue and went with General's. I love the tire...so much better that the Nitto's, but will this rubbing hurt my tire? I know I have to roll the fenders, but time is really an issue for me, and I don't want to ruin the fenders by just banging at the with a rubber mallet...any suggestions?

Thanks in advance...

you sit on the driver side, so the weight is going to be a little uneven. every brand of tire has kind of a different shape, and the width of slightly varies. i tucked my fender using a breaker bar wrapped in tape, using the tire as a fulcrum. just stuck the pipe in the wheel well and pressed down. i have 18x8 +35 with 225/40 tires and i dont rub, and im dropped 2"

*disclamer im not responsible for anything that happens to your car...

i fully recommend getting a non-ghetto fender roller... if you wait too long, the fender will slice up your tire, or the tire will pull on the fender lip

Frankly, I'm surprised that a +48 is rubbing at all.

The Nitto's may have been close to rubbing, but some extra meat on the UHP is enough to catch the lip. We are talking about millimeters here, so it might just be the slimmest of margins that is actually rubbing in the fender well.

I'm using the General UHP right now and I am very fond of it. I hope that you get it all sorted out sooner than later. I will say that a fender roll would solve all of you issues.
