I have a friend with an extra set of 2007 Mazda 3 TPMS sensors. Does anyone know if these are the same sensors in our 2009 Mazda 6 tires? Are they compatible?
I'm thinking about getting winter tires and these would save me some extra expense.

Don't know, but I recall that if you select "wheel package" on tirerack, it will give you the option for TPMS . . . that'll tell you the frequency.

If the frequency is the same for the 07 and 09, it's probably talking the same protocol.

(Not sure why it gets lower ratings than stock and rims-only cars . . . maybe I need a "TYPE R" badge)

Thanks for your help. I didn't realize that information was there. They both say 315 MHz.

Cool looks like a match.

Make sure your buddy'll take it back if it happens to be wrong, but I can't imagine they'd be different.
