i've been thinking the same thing. iirc the 1st gen's have the same platform as fusions correct? it would also be easier finding a wrecked fusion vs a wrecked cx9 or rx8 for the wheels.
the center caps above look circular, unless that's just an aftermarket wheel that looks like the fusion wheel. otherwise i'd say you could pry it out and try and fit a mazda symbol, or paint it black and throw on a mazda symbol.

Somebody on here has Ford Edge wheels that look similiar on their 6. There are some photos, and I think that they look great.

There was a guy using the 17's as a winter setup back in the day...didn't look too bad.
