So, I am not feeling the RS6 wheels that I bolted up last week. I picked up some RX8 wheels in good shape for $450 shipped instead. I will post pics when they get here. I don't think I will do aftermarket rims anymore just because I know when I ruin an RX-8 wheel I know that I can always get a single spare anytime of the year for a good price. I don't run summer and winter sets, so I need rims that get me through 4 seasons and on shitty pittsburgh winter roads.

I really liked my ICW wheels and I am pissed that I can't get a spare. The wheel repair shop wouldn't repair it based on the position of the crack. I hope sometime that I will see a single or pair of them so I can complete the set again. So, when you all are considering getting aftermarket wheels, also remember that if you happen to ruin a wheel that you might not be able to get a replacement and you might find yourself in my position and having to buy all four to replace one bad wheel. Keep that in mind when you are shopping around. If you stick with more popular or readily available sets, you can always get a single spare.

I am stoked to get the RX8 wheels on, hopefully they show up by Friday.

Maybe I should've thought about how I will get a spare wheel if I need one before I ordered some that were out of my price range and they making another version of the wheel so the ones I bought might be discountinued

Exactly... Most manufacturers refresh their wheels after each calendar year so even wheels made in 2008 will not be available today besides what is left in retailer's inventory.

They have been making these wheels for a long time, I think, but for 2009 they are coming out with version 2 which is completely different.
I'm only using them for summer so I should be able to keep them in good shape

RX-8 wheels are on! Man, I love them. They just look right. Car is a terrible dirty mess though.
