Kazera KZ-H (20.6lbs) vs Borbet XL Black (23lbs)

(18x8, 235/45 tire)

performance vs looks

which would you choose?

Looks are more important to me since I don't race, but I don't know whether I would "feel" better with the lighter rims knowing I can accelerate faster (?) and save more gas? Or is this just psychological?

Please help! Thanks for the advice!

Kazera. I'm not feeling the Borbet design.

I appreciate everyone's opinions regards to their preference, but I guess what I'm asking is: is the difference in weight a big concern to you? Or is it such a small difference that I shouldn't care? Given that I prefer the Borbet design (because the spokes go to the edge of the rim which I like very much), should I be concerned about the heavier weight? What does the stock 2009 Maz6 18"x8 weigh?

Thanks!

Lol... where were you guys when I was getting bashed for mentioning "Kazera" wheels (which I have and like)?

Between those two, I'd pick the Kazeras based on design alone. The Borbets have too much black space that I think would look odd on the 2g 6. I also prefer the look of a 3d wheel spoke to a flat machined face on an otherwise blacked out wheel.

Again - let's put design aside. Please just let me know if I should be concerned about the difference in performance. If you want to look at it another way: imagine if the Borbets were the ones that weighed less - would you still pick the Kazeras? (for those who prefer the Kazera design).

And by the way, I no longer want the black - I prefer the graphite Borbet XL. Check out these pics:

You can't say that they don't look HOT! Anyway - please help me out with regards to the WEIGHT issue. Should I really be concerned if I don't race? Thanks.

^^ much better in graphite ^^

the heavier the wheel & tire combo, the more resistant the car will be to changes in speed (acceleration & braking) and changes in direction (steering)

it doesn't only affect racers; around town (especially at low speeds) the lighter the wheels the more responsive your car will feel
