About to start on my third set of tires with only 32k miles on my car. I was wondering if anyone knows a great tire for a great price?
Just looking for some advice. I had the stock ones which were great while they lasted, and then some Kuhmo's that have only lasted like 15k. They wore out from the insdie, so it's not overinflation or agressive driving, and my allignment was perfect today when I got it checked. I dunno...maybe the 15k mark is that magic number for our cars (or just me). Any advice would be great!

You should try a search, this question is posted about once a month around here. This is a very vague request. Are you looking for summer tires? Assuming stock rims? Either 215/45 or 225/45 tires? If you are more specific in your request or provide a region of the country you are in, there are quite a few forum members that can give you some good advice. I have read many good reviews about the General Exclaim UHP's. Several forum members have those and seem to like them. They are pretty affordable too. Now I am not sure on the life of the tires and especially the ones on your car. I am currently at 20,300 miles on the stock Potenza's which seams to be pretty good wear for me on those. The driver side front tire will probably just make it to 21k as the outside edge has become very worn. I probably could have gotten another couple thousand miles out of them if I rotated them better. I only rotated once at 7500 miles, shame on me.

There is a section of the forum that deals with tires specifically, and a sticky with people's experiences with brands. But to cut to the chase, I've got bad news: you're doing VERY well if you're getting 15k off a set of tires. I'm getting an average of 10k (which means I'm on my 4th set at 36k miles). I drive pretty hard, though. You can improve the wear by getting the adjustable ball joints by APC (see suspension/tires forum for a discussion) that allows you to change your front camber slightly. It won't make your tires last much longer, but the fronts will wear evenly and turn-in will be a bit crisper. I've used Avon, General, the stock Bridgestones and another set of Bridgestones, and on the street there hasn't been 2 mph difference in hard cornering, so get what's easiest and cheapest. BTW, if you live with snow at ALL, get decent winter tires (like the Blizzaks), stock summer tires will kill you in the cold...

The General UHP's are good tires, although the sidewalls roll WAY too easy. If you're a hardcore track or AX racer, i wouldn't advise them. Sadly, if you want maximum grip, 15K is gonna be the average on almost any type of tire. As long as you don't mind the price and the fast wear, the stock potenzas are some of the stickiest i've ever dealt with.
Are you looking for summer only or all-season?

best tire Michelin PS2. Will you buy it? I doubt it. It all depends what you want. If you bought a MS6 you should buy a Max Perf summer tire IMO... for the price I recomend the Sumitomo HTR Z III for our car.
Have nto tried them but reviews look good and I may get a set as well... Ps2's are just too much $ for me.

My MS6 just rolled over 14k miles, and the stock tires (fronts only) were toast. I ended up with the Kumho SPTs in a 225/45/18. The stock Bridgestones were great, but I can't stomach $1200 for tires every 12-14 months. The Kumhos were only $700 and are actually pretty good. Handling for normal and mildly aggressive driving seems about the same. However, I do have a little more noise on the freeway about 65 mph. Nothing the radio can't drown out, though.
Like mentioned before, do a search. Tons and tons of options/opinions/advice will come up. This is a VERY common issue, and you WILL be replacing tires every 15k miles or so. Just a fact of life with these cars.

lots of good tires out there... here's the one's I've used in the past (on various cars) and would recommend:
Yokohama S.drive Yokohama AVS Sport Bridgestone SO2 (not Pole Position) Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

It had for a while crossed my mind to go down to a 17" wheel, so that I could have more sport-touring tire options rather than just UHP's. But, I've heard that they might not fit over our brakes. So, I guess that won't work well. So, what I went with was the Eagle F1 All Season's as they have a pretty high treadwear rating of 440. I don't know for sure how that will translate to tire life. And some reviews have said they don't hold up that well, so, I don't know. I'm giving them a shot.

Those Eagle F1's are a little pricey, but i'm not sure as though i've ever heard someone complain of anything besides the cost. They sound like a great all-around tire to me.

17" wheels fit fine on a Speed6. 16" won't fit.
I have Konig Feather 17s with Yokohama Ice Guards for winter, and BBS 17s with Yokohama Advan 048s for AutoX.
