Did anyone try 225/45/18 on stock rims for 2007 Speed 6? Any issues with this size?
Thank you.

I have them as well, no troubles as far as clearance goes. However I found that the slightly taller sidewall decreased performance more than the extra 10mm of width improved it. I have a set of 225/45/18 Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions that make for a fine daily driver tire, but roll over way too much at the track. The sidewall just isn't strong enough for our front heavy car. I have seen 225/40/18's that seem to work better due to the shorter sidewall.

Yeah, I'm running that set-up as well - 225/45 on OEM's
no rubbing here either

Are you sure there isn't something else going on with your car? 4wdfun tracks his car all the time with the S-03's and they perform like champs. Also, they have an INCREDIBLY stiff sidewall. It took two guys to get them mounted on rims at my shop, and there have been several people out there that were able to drive them a short distance on completely flat tire due to the treadwall stiffness.

Have you upgraded your suspension at all and are you running them on the stock rims? I've pushed mine pretty hard at times on the street, and they haven't even hinted at sidewall flex or rolling over. The stockers were a different story....215's are waaaaaay too narrow for this car.

A 225 on the stock rim would likely get some noticeable roll in track situations. Now a 225 on a 7.5 or 8 inch rim would be a different story. Just my 2 cents. That's not to say the tire doesn't have a stiff sidewall though. I personally have 225 Yoko's on my stock rims for daily driving and they are just fine, but if used them for autocross I bet i could get them to roll over some
